Camps and Train-A-Thons

Scott Hayes Karate participates and offers several extra training opportunities throughout the year. These range from short one day train-a-thons to three day camps on Karate and / or Kobudo. These are wonderful training opportunities which provide intense training and material coverage. These are great ways to get extra training, catch up on material, and catch up on hours. Special guest instructors are known to show up!

Up coming Camps

Camps
Three Day Camps start Friday Evening and go to Sunday at Noon. Depending on the schedule, these camps have between 20 and 25 hours of training and are worth between 26 and 33 classes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided on Saturday; Breakfast is provided on Sunday. These camps may be held at locations outside of the Dojo or held at the dojo. When these camps are at the dojo students are welcome to stay and sleep over at the Dojo.


Two Day Camps start Saturday Morning and go to Sunday at Noon or early afternoon. Depending on the schedule, these camps have between 15 and 20 hours of training and are worth between 20 and 26 classes. Lunch, and dinner are provided on Saturday; Breakfast is provided on Sunday. These camps may be held at locations outside of the Dojo or held at the dojo. When these camps are at the dojo students are welcome to stay and sleep over at the Dojo.


Mega Mini-Camps
Very similar to the three day camps. These are held at the dojo and start Friday Evening and go to Sunday at Noon. Depending on the schedule, these camps have between 20 and 25 hours of training and are worth between 26 and 33 classes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided on Saturday; Breakfast is provided on Sunday. Students are welcome to stay and sleep over at the Dojo.


Mini-Camps
Very similar to the Two Day Camps. These are held at the dojo and start Saturday Morning and go to Sunday at Noon or early afternoon. Depending on the schedule, these camps have between 15 and 20 hours of training and are worth between 20 and 26 classes. Lunch, and dinner are provided on Saturday; Breakfast is provided on Sunday. Students are welcome to stay and sleep over at the Dojo.


Train-A-Thons
Generally one-day events or all-night training events. These are minimal cost events that do not provide any meals. Train-A-Thons are just as structured as camps and mini-camps. Depending on the schedule, these camps have between 8 and 24 hours of training and are worth between 10 and 32 classes.


Kobudo Camps
Weapons camps are generally three or two day camps. These camps have between 12 and 25 hours of training and are worth between 16 and 33 classes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided on Saturday; Breakfast is provided on Sunday. These camps may be held at locations outside of the Dojo or held at the dojo. When these camps are at the dojo students are welcome to stay and sleep over at the Dojo.
